FORMATION OF BORON TRIFLOURIDE AMMONIA ADUCT:

             In the formation of this molecular addition compound, boron triflouride is electron deficient molecule where as nitrogen atom of ammonia is lone-pair donor.

In the above dative covalent addition compound AlCL3 is electron deficient molecule i.e; electron pair accepter whereas NH₃ is electron pair donor because nitrogen atom of ammonia contains lone-pair of electrons.
